Launch Artist For Action: a non-political coalition of musicians and artists who support gun violence prevention. The challenge was to onboard artists to create a buzz and launch a pressworthy event while having a simple and clear call to action to rally around.
AFA built out a website platform with a clearly defined 3 step action plan which includes: Volunteer, Donate and Vote. AFA recruited key artist ambassadors such as Billie Eilish, Peter Gabriel, Nile Rodgers, Sofi Tukker, Peter Frampton, Sheryl Crow and many more. AFA then crafted an aggressive PR campaign working closely with BUSH, their team and partners at Sandy Hook Promise, Live Nation, HeadCount and the Non-Violence Project to rally around Artist For Action, a cause that resonated with lead singer Gavin Rossdale.
A sold out launch concert at Irving Plaza in NYC featuring Mark Barden, Co-Founder of Sandy Hook Promise. The PR around the coalition and event garnered a staggering 1.7 billion impressions with features in Variety, NME, Billboard, The Guardian, Rolling Stone and TV appearances on Good Morning America. This also served as the launch of BUSH's Greatest Hits album and tour.
